Editorial & Diving-Safety Standards

We build traveler confidence through accurate distinctions and practical marine logistics:

  • Clear Qualification Boundaries: We never present surface snorkeling as scuba diving, and we never present a 1-day supervised introductory dive (Discover Scuba / Basic Diver) as an autonomous diving certification.
  • Separate Departure Towns from Offshore Islands: Every island guide (Catalina Islands, Bat Islands, Caño Island, Cocos Island) explicitly states where the passenger boards the boat on the mainland.
  • Total Outing Duration vs. Bottom Time: We explain clearly that a 4-to-7-hour tour duration covers check-in, boat transit, two dives, and surface intervals—never continuous time underwater.
  • No Guaranteed Conditions or Sightings: We never guarantee water visibility, calm seas, wildlife sightings, or access to a specific mooring. Final site selection and participation rest with the licensed operator on the day of the dive.
  • Recognized Medical & Safety Guidance: Diving-safety and pre-flight interval notes follow recognized Divers Alert Network (DAN) and RSTC/UHMS standards. Individual fitness-to-dive questions are directed to the operator's screening process and a qualified physician.
